                   The Andhra Pradesh Commission for Backward Classes was established in the State on permanent basis through the State Legislative Act i.e. The Andhra Pradesh Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1993 (Act 20 of 1993). List of Independent Commissions

(appointed under the Commissions of Inquiries Act, 1952)

                   Before the establishment of a permanent BC Commission, the then Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed two Commissions under the Commissions of Inquiries Act, 1952 in connection with identification of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes in the State of Andhra Pradesh and the special provisions to be made for their upliftment. Details of these two Commissions are as follows.
